Mission Statement

Alma Equine is dedicated to connecting people, animals and the environment, resulting in life changing interactions. We focus on community involvement and educational activities, facilitate horse rescue programs, and encourage protection and restoration of the environment.

Our Vision

We envision a world where young people, through their interactions with horses, develop presence, empathy, and a deep connection with the natural world. Empowered to be their authentic selves, they will go on to make an impact on the world.

What We Do

By using horses to demonstrate the abstract concept of spacial boundaries, students can learn what personal space is and how it can be maintained in a herd setting. Learning to use pressure and release to communicate and to integrate into the horse community can also help students learn how to apply these same skills and understanding to their personal life.
